The primary LMS at Vanderbilt University is Blackboard, a set of technology-related tools designed to enhance students’ academic experience. Instructors use Blackboard to display a course syllabus or schedule, provide more detail about assignments, link to additional resources, and make additional materials available through electronic reserves or podcasts. Students may be asked to use Blackboard to take tests, submit assignments electronically, or participate in online discussions.
