We accept requests via OCLC (TJC), ALA (transmitted via mail, fax, etc.), letterhead, or email. Requests must originate from the borrowing library.
We do not mail books between December 10th and January 2nd (copy service is not affected).
The rates quoted here are general, and do not apply if we have an established reciprocal or consortial agreement. Please note that our Law (OCLC: TJL) and Biomedical (OCLC: TJM) libraries are separate suppliers with their own policies and fee schedules.
Loan period: Material is due back for check-in here 6 weeks from date shipped. Renewals: 2 weeks. All loans are subject to availability and approval, and will be recalled if needed locally.
Charges: $10.00 IFM or $15.00 invoiced. Tennessee, ASERL, ARL, and ATLA are exempt (except those which charge us). We may match your charges if higher.
Noncirculating: Periodicals, newspapers (except microfilm backfiles), reference, most audiovisual.
Audiovisual/Media: Our largest a/v collections no longer circulate for ILL. However, we lend whenever possible. When loaned, use period may be shorter, restrictions may apply, and loans should be returned via FedEx or equivalent.
Dissertations (doctoral): Lend all; 1952+ also available from ProQuest/UMI. Theses (master's): Lend all, except to non-lenders.
Government documents: Lend (but out-of-state ask closer regional depository first); US GPO selective depository since 1884.
