Photographic portrait of Alice Drew Chenoweth. Alice Drew Chenoweth was a pediatrician and public health professional. Dr. Chenoweth was born in Albany, Missouri, in 1903. In 1924 she graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in chemistry. She stayed at Northwestern to complete a master's degree in history in 1926, and then she taught at Huntington College in Montgomery, Alabama, from 1926 to 1928. She obtained her M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1932.
